Traditions
Tomorrow I leave for San Antonio, Texas and my son's graduation from Basic Military Training in the Air Force. Yes, he will carry forward the traditions of flight in our family. My Grandfather on my father's side, was a Balloon Pilot for the Army Air Corp during WWI. My father a Navy Corpsman on combat and flight status. As the tradition states, my father was given his father's flight jacket at the age of eighteen. I was handed my father's, and my son got mine at the same age of eighteen. My son's next stop, the Altitude Chamber then off to flight school. Now, there shall be a new jacket for the hand off.
Just a note of progression,
Reach

That's really neat. You should put some pictures up, do you have some of each generation receiving the jacket?
Dear Reach...how proud you must be of Reach Jr. I join you and wish you a wonderful graduation, as it is as much yours as his. ;)
Ciao proud papa...stop in and tell me something when you get the chance - as in, "Do you use shoetrees?" I'm guessing yes.
Beautiful.....you must feel 10 feet tall!
